About Glenn Cratty

Glenn Cratty I am first and foremost a pacifist and nonviolent activist for peace and justice. My training in nursing and clinical social work followed seven years in a monastic seminary. That launched me on a life long exploration of spirituality. It is this background that informs my clinical practice.

After years of training and work in conventional psychotherapeutic practices I found that the modalities of talk therapy were inadequate for dealing with severely traumatized people. My case load of adults who had been abused as children were barely coping, never mind healing. I began to search for alternative therapies and cutting edge practices that may address their needs better and help stimulate their innate capacity to self heal. For the last ten years I have been immersed in the field of Energy Psychology. The premise behind this very new field is: “The cause of all negative emotions is a disturbance in the body’s energy system.” This paradigm shift, that comes from an oriental medicine perspective, has lead me in the exploration of many new modalities of therapeutic intervention.

I now practice a blend of conventional psychotherapy with a menu of alternative therapies that can be tailor fit to the individual I am working with. The following is a list of some of the options on that menu:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
  • Hypnosis
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • Allergy Antidotes
  • Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)
  • Quantum Touch
  • Be Set Free Fast (BSFF)
  • Brain Gym Exercises
  • Therapeutic Essential Oils
  • Mindfulness Meditation
  • Creative Energy Therapy (dowsing)

Psychotherapy is a facilitative process helping people find their means of healing emotional pain. In the process you will learn new tools for managing upset and pain. I’ve come to learn after 30 years of practice, that when all is said and done, “Spirit Heals” and that there are many paths someone can choose from to effect that result. I can guide you along some of those paths.
