We have been practicing our collaborative model of integrative health care at our current location for three years. We have grown to the point that our ability to diversify and expand available health options is limited by lack of usable space.
Our property on the Mettowee River presently consists of office space that was renovated to include four treatment rooms, a waiting/meeting room, and a handicapped access bathroom. Adjacent to this office space is a beautiful Vermont timber frame barn built around 1825 containing approximately 10,000 square feet.
When fully renovated, the upper level of the barn will retain its open, rustic appearance, and will be used for conferences, workshops, performances, and other community gatherings. Rooms for more practitioners will be created with convenient entrance directly from the parking lot.
Our health library will be moved as well and will have an area for reading and research. The plans also include a quiet room for meditation and reflection, classroom space, and offices.
The building sits on five acres that gently slope toward the river. Outside there will be a terrace/deck looking toward the Mettowee River, gardens, sitting areas, a labyrinth, a meditation area, and maintained footpaths down to the riverside.
