In these challenging times it becomes more and more important that we have tools to take care of our own health, focus on preventive natural medicine, and decrease our dependency on expensive pharmaceuticals.
In this certified apprenticeship you will learn many practical ways to maintain, or grow to, vibrant health and balance in daily life. The focus will be on herbal medicine, back yard plants, and healing foods.
This is a six month course in which we will talk about a wide variety of subjects, covering common discomforts like allergies, fatigue, weight issues, woman’s health, etc. You’ll learn about natural skin care, first aid, diets, herb gardens and so much more. Plant walks will give you direct experience of the plants and will help you to recognize many of the useful, and often delicious, herbs and wild plants. Building relationships with plants is an important part on this journey so that your knowledge of the plants becomes more than theoretical.

Your apprenticeship will include:
• spring cleansing through nutrition and herbs while “shedding your winter skin”
• herbs and food for many common ailments like allergies, fatigue, weight issues,also woman’s health, first-aid and more
• stocking your medicine chest by making your own natural remedies including skincare products, herbal extracts, flower essences, etc.
• the use of essential oils for health and well-being
• the use of herbs and food to maintain health and balance while moving harmoniously through the stages of life, from children’s health to elder care.
• the use of culinary herbs and edible wild plants
• co-creating an herb garden
• edible and medicinal uses of woodland plants
• food as medicine; building a strong constitution
• super foods and various diets
• and more

Dates and Times: May 30 & 31, June 27 & 28, July 31 – August 2 (three days), August 29 & 30, September 19 & 20, October 24 & 25. Each day 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (except July 31- August 2, Friday begins at 10:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm Sunday)

Cost: $1295 early bird discount if paid in full by March 15th, thereafter the cost is $1495.
