Arts from the Heart is a biannual celebration of the healing power of creativity and community. This dynamic event, sponsored by the Circle of Healing in Pawlet, is a vibrant one-night show that will benefit the Circle of Healing, a non-profit healing collaborative. “The last show practically took the roof off the place,” says COH energy healer John Hopkins. “It was an incredible demonstration of the power of movement, music, voice, and rhythm. It was definitely a night to remember.”
This year the line-up includes Anita Sander’s rich voice and magical blend of jazz, blues, and folk. The dynamic vocal harmony of So Far, six fun loving Manchester moms who cover songs from the Beatles to Alison Krauss. Drama in the form of Noel Coward’s “Private Lives”, a story of tempestuous love and marriage will be brought to life by Heather Denardo and Matt Donnelley. The beauty and grace of traditional Belly Dancing will light up the stage with Hanna Rudy-Shores and her troupe of dancers and drummers. The show is family friendly and you are encouraged to carpool or park nearby; spots will be marked and COH will provide a shuttle.
In addition to a great evening of entertainment, there will be the fun of a silent auction with opportunities to bid on a day of sailing on Lake Champlain, striking art by Frank Howell, goodies from Mother Myrick, dining at great restaurants, and much more. There is also a chance to win the services offered by the Circle of Healing in a raffle that will kick off a fund raising drive for a new health spa.
Circle of Healing is pleased to announce plans for a Health Spa to further enhance the care they offer. “Nurturing the body is a vital component of health on every level” says Ray Foster, Chiropractor. The spa will offer an ionic foot bath that helps to detoxify the body, an herbal apothecary, massage therapy, and feature a flotation tank. – one of the few in Vermont and New England. Flotation offers a cornucopia of benefits for body and soul, which included documented relief of chronic pain, stress, sleep disorders, and high blood pressure, it also enhances creativity, meditation and mindfulness practices.
This year’s show will benefit the Circle of Healing, a non profit organization of health care practitioners offering integrative health care and education in a nurturing and safe environment. The Circle of Healing reaches out to help individuals and family with support for their wellness — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual — needs. Each year the practitioners of the Circle donate over $30,000.00 of their services to individuals in our local community who are unable to afford the full cost of this care.
“Arts from the Heart are about the healing power of creativity and community,” says COH energy healer Cathy Walker. “The arts speak a universal language — a language beyond borders and boundaries. The arts move us to a place of wholeness within our own hearts. That’s what the Circle is about, and that’s the energy that Arts from the Heart creates and shares.”
