Journey to the other - Relationship as a Spiritual Path

April 5/6 and May 3/4.
Pathwork Transformation Program - Year Two
Life is relationship, says the Guide. This year we will explore relationship: to ourselves, to others, and to God. In the Oneness we are one. Here on earth, we are many. The friction that arises in our interaction with the other, in any form, serves as a mirror, illuminating the obstacles within that create separation. Awareness, acceptance of, and being with the conflicting elements in friction can bring us, ultimately, to blissful fusion. The journey to the other is the journey to the self and to God.
For more information about the Pathwork, please contact Mary Jane at 325-3300 ext 4# or email MJIhasz@aol.com.

Our Vision

Opening DayWe have been practicing our collaborative model of integrative health care at our current location for three years. We have grown to the point that our ability to diversify and expand available health options is limited by lack of usable space.

Our property on the Mettowee River presently consists of office space that was renovated to include four treatment rooms, a waiting/meeting room, and a handicapped access bathroom. Adjacent to this office space is a beautiful Vermont timber frame barn built around 1825 containing approximately 10,000 square feet.

When fully renovated, the upper level of the barn will retain its open, rustic appearance, and will be used for conferences, workshops, performances, and other community gatherings. Rooms for more practitioners will be created with convenient entrance directly from the parking lot.

Our health library will be moved as well and will have an area for reading and research. The plans also include a quiet room for meditation and reflection, classroom space, and offices.

The building sits on five acres that gently slope toward the river. Outside there will be a terrace/deck looking toward the Mettowee River, gardens, sitting areas, a labyrinth, a meditation area, and maintained footpaths down to the riverside.

We welcome all inquiries; if you would like to become involved in realizing our vision, please contact us.

A Letter of Support from Senator Sanders

We received the following words of encouragement from Senator Bernie Sanders, which we’d like to share:

Dear Mr. Cratty:

Thank you very much for your willingness to provide free care to victims of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan . I have forwarded on your letter to Gary DeGasta, the Director of White River Junction VA Medical Center.

I share your concern about the mental health of our soldiers and am acutely aware of the prevalence of PTSD amongst our service members - a condition that can tear apart the lives of battle-hardened veterans and their families. [Read more →]

Dowsing Applications in Psychotherapy

At Circle of Healing we are exploring the cutting edge of dowsing applications to vibrational medicine and healing.

I was introduced to dowsing as a young lad by my great uncle in my parent’s back yard. Years later, Quaker friend and long time dowser, Herbert Douglas was teaching me to dowse in my own back yard at a picnic. But I was really re introduced to dowsing ten years ago through muscle testing. [Read more →]

About Jasmine Hurtak

Jasmine Hurtak

Jasmine Hurtak Nutritional Counselor, Herbalist, Plant-Spirit Healer, Aroma Therapist and Certified Radiance Master Healer, working with compassion and love for her clients.

There are many different pathways leading to good health. Of course, your best pathway on your life journey is a personal choice, but I believe that awareness is a key first step. And what is this awareness??

Awareness is waking up to the relationship between our actions and our reality!

When you take a good look at yourself, make an honest reflection on the choices you have made and currently make, whom do you meet in the mirror? Are your choices just habits? What does your daily reality look like? Does it work? Do you like/love yourself? Are you a victim? Do you feel stuck? Are you happy? In my opinion, it is working with these core life issues that is essential to good health.

Sometimes we get lost on this incredible journey called life.

Why? We often experience a lifetime of brainwashing. Starting in our youngest years, we are taught how to deny ourselves our true reason for being and give our authority away to others. This “outer authority” often becomes us, and we learn to succumb to others and their visions and wishes…not ours.

So, just how do we get in the drivers seat of our own life?

How do we arrest our current course in life and steer it into the direction we truly choose for ourselves…conscious and on purpose? How do we become the powerful creator of our own life experience, even if we have forgotten how to do this? I call this awaking the importance of self empowerment! Together we work towards a transformation of the soul.

How would we work together?

Imagine, for a moment, an informative and totally personal road, leading to a lifestyle that sustains you. In order to create a fundamental paradigm shift or transformation, I will use deep conversation, herbs, shamanic techniques, soul and body work, aromatherapy, flower essences and diet.

After a thorough health history intake, we will, together, determine what is needed for you. We will use plants that will always be assisting in forms of medicine, teas, smells or spirits. I will clear and energize the chakras in the energetic body, work with soul retrieval, ancestor work, relationship cords etc.

During deep conversation, I will use an alternative model in psychology to get to the core of issues and concerns. I will provide numerous handouts and assisting products, and we will have a solid look at your food intake.

And why food?

Food is connected to all life experiences; it should bring joy, social connections and satisfaction. It is often a substitute for missing love and pleasure, an outlet for our emotions. Changing food into healing medicine is critical to our healing journey.

One conversation can change your life!

It is my intention to help you direct your own course of life and steer it into your direction, using sound relationships with food, health and life events. Only then can you become the creator of your own life experience. Working together… we can accomplish this fundamental transformation!!

About Trevor Tebbs, Ph.D.

Trevor Tebbs

Circle of Healing practitioner Dr. Trevor Tebbs is somewhat unusual! His professional activities encompass a number of different worlds.

He is equally comfortable teaching young people Educational Psychology as a college professor, working with parents and teachers as an Educational Consultant, working with individuals across the lifespan in a clinical environment as a cognitive behavioral psychotherapist or painting a watercolor.

A common factor in dealing with people is his passionate interest and expertise in the wide, often extremely complex, array of educational and social emotional issues associated with high levels of intellectual and creative ability.

Trevor’s initial training was in England as a regular and special education teacher. Over the years he has experienced teaching in a wide array of settings on both sides of the Atlantic. He has been vice-principal in an English special school for children with severe cognitive and physical disability and Assistant Director of the University of Connecticut (UConn) Honors Program. At college level he has taught a diversity of courses including the exploration of Arthurian myths and realities in ancient texts and historical places in England and Wales, Art Education, Critical Thinking, Curriculum Development, Drawing and Sculpture.

After developing a keen interest in the exceptionally able, Trevor discovered a significant lack of knowledge and understanding existed regarding this population. The problem motivated him to learn more. His graduate work at the University of Connecticut involved studying with Dr. Joseph Renzulli, world-renown leader in gifted education based at the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented (NRCG/T). This experience prepared him to address the educational and social emotional needs of gifted and talented children, their parents and teachers in a number of different ways, including counseling.

In the clinical context, Trevor helps clients - pre-school aged children through to adults, examine their potential for personal transformation and experience the psychological healing that accompanies a raised awareness of self. Emotional and other “intensity” is often associated with giftedness. In this regard, Trevor is reliant upon the work of Kazimierz Dabrowski, whose two theories - OverExcitability and Positive Disintegration, are exceptionally insightful when considering the development of full intellectual potential and emotional well-being.

If there is time to spare, Trevor enjoys painting watercolors or working with pastel. He especially loves land and seascapes. In the past he has had major exhibitions of his work, notably a one-man exhibition of his watercolors at the International Monetary Fund Headquarters in Washington D.C.

Dr. Tebbs offers professional insight & support for parents, teachers, children, adolescents and adults including:
• Identification & assessment
• Psychological testing (e.g., WISC-IV)
• Interpretation of psychological and other assessment measures (e.g. Stanford-Binet)

• Counseling around emotional, social, & educational issues
• Stratagems for talent development
• Individual support & guidance
• Help with decision-making strategies
• Career choices
• Development of self-awareness
• College entrance and transition

Examples of concerns with which Dr. Tebbs is familiar:

• Advanced ability yet underachievement

• Lack of challenge at school and/or home
• Depression and related issues
• Perfectionism, fear of failure, & procrastination
• Social interaction and dumbing-down
• School phobia
• Unusual intellectual intensity

• Constant pressure to work & inability to relax
• Difficulties in finding appropriate education
• Behavior management problems
• Low self-esteem and self-efficacy

If, as a parent or teacher or student, you share these concerns we may be able to offer advice, guidance, and/or direct help on a systematic or individual basis

Trevor may be contacted by calling: (802) 770 0680, (802) 273 3882 or via email at trevor@tebbspsychology.com. His services are also available at the Vermont Educational Support Associates (VESA) office, 1085A, Route 4 East, Rutland, VT 05701, (802) 775 6331.

About Molly Beverage

Molly Beverage Molly Beverage offers a complete Chinese medical practice that integrates acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage and Qigong instruction with a focus on helping each individual on their journey to wellness through harmonizing the body, mind and spirit.

Chinese medicine is a complete medical system that has prevented, diagnosed and treated illness for over 3,000 years. It is based on theories for restoring harmony in the life force of the body, called Qi, by using acupuncture and Chinese herbs. These unblock the body and allow the Qi to circulate naturally and smoothly through the body in pathways called meridians. These meridians traverse and nourish your body as streams and rivers traverse and nourish the earth. Rivers can flood, dry up, become dammed, or become poisoned — metaphors for what can happen to the vital energy in your body. When this happens, your body may show distress signals in the form of symptoms. In addition, stress can cause the Qi to slow down, leading to depression and anxiety.

Acupuncture and other aspects of Chinese medicine are known to be helpful in relieving physical complaints. They can also help balance our minds and spirits so that all of our symptoms are alleviated and we are able to take better care of ourselves. Treatment allows you to experience a greater sense of ease in life, and this enables you to deal with the ups and downs of life in a more balanced manner. The treatment process also helps you to develop greater awareness of your lifestyle patterns and acupuncture supports you as you choose new, healthier patterns of living. Many people find that once their symptoms have improved, they continue to come for treatment on a maintenance basis in order to keep their life force flowing smoothly. Others may return seasonally or whenever needed for a “tune-up.” These therapies also work excellently as preventive methods of health care.

Molly Beverage is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Vermont with a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is also a certified Qigong instructor. She is the current president of the Vermont Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and through the association works to promote education for the public and community among other acupuncturists. The Circle of Healing in Pawlet is her main office and she also has an office in Manchester, Vermont. Please feel free to contact her directly at mbevera@yahoo.com
